Lavoro per i giovani - The job for the youth

Appena ho finito di studiare Economia a Londra ho deciso di cercare lavoro a Milano e nel Regno Unito. Continuavo a ripetere a me stesso: perchè in Italia no? Ho fatto diversi colloqui con aziende conosciute nel circolo finanziario internazionale. Le offerte variavano da 0 per tre mesi più una possibilità di 600 Euro per i restanti tre a 700 Euro lordi al mese. Molte di queste società hanno visto crescere i propri profitti del 30% l'anno passato, e io mi chiedevo: ma dove vanno questi profitti?

Tale situazione si chiama sfruttamento del lavoro. I pensionati vanno in piazza perchè vogliono più pensioni, i forestali calabresi bloccano gli aeroporti per avere il loro improduttivo stipendio. Noi giovani casa facciamo? Assolutamente nulla. Accettiamo l'offerta dalla prestigiosa banca d'affari e lavoriamo 12 ore al giorno (se siamo fortunati) per un possibile miglior futuro. Nel frattempo però la nostra condizione è penosa. Dopo aver studiato per anni e magari aver ottenuto anche la lode all'università, ci troviamo ad avere uno stipendio con cui non riusciamo neanche a pagarci l'affitto. E' proprio difficile per me immaginare un futuro per una nazione in cui i giovani non possono in alcun modo essere indipendenti economicamente e crearsi la propria famiglia. In sostanza sembra proprio che la mancata crescita di questi 5 anni passati sia stata addossata su di noi, proprio perchè tutte le altre componenti della società sono riusciti bene a proteggere i propri interessi. Noi siamo rimasti fuori da tutto aspettando che arrivi prima o poi qualcuno ad aiutarci.
Non ci aiuterà nessuno, e i giovani più intraprendenti stanno abbandonando l'Italia già da molti anni impoverendo sempre di più il nostro capitale umano. Perchè tutti hanno ciò che vogliono e noi non possiamo avere un lavoro come tutti i nostri colleghi in Europa? Abbiamo già perso la voglia di lottare a vent'anni?

When I finished studying in London, I have decided to look for a job in Milan and in UK. I kept repeating: why not in Italy? I had many interviews with internationally recognized firms. The offers ranged from 0 for 3 months plus a possible subsequent 3 months for 600 Euros to 700 Euros per month. Some of these firms have seen their profits increasing by 30% last year, and I was wondering: where do these profits go? This situation is called exploitation. Old people protest to have their pensions increased, forest officers from Calabria blocked airports to have their non-productive wage. What do we do? Nothing. We accept the offer from the prestigious investment bank and we work 12 hours a day for a better future. In the meantime we live in a really sad situation. After we studied for years, we have to accept a wage which is not enough even to cover a monthly rent. It is really hard for me to think about the future of a nation when the youth cannot be economically independent and create their own family. Basically the lack of growth was put all on our shoulders, just because all the other components of the society managed to defend themselves. We remained out of everything waiting for someone to help us. No one will help us, and the most skilled young workers are already leaving our country impoverishing further the Italian human capital. Why everyone has what they want and we cannot even have a proper job? Have we already lost our willingness to fight in our twenties?
